I liked my last race so much I signed up for another one! This race is a 5K that supports
Girls on the Run, another worthy cause! The nice thing about being such a slow run/walker is that I have nowhere to go but up. Let's see if I can break my PR of 4th to last!

i cannot for the life of me get my kid to do this via her school each year. so i am glad a grown-up is doing it! i started run/walking in January and still barely do a mile, but am going to limp through my second 5K next sunday.
i love, love, love your blog so far. it is comfy and smart. i'll be back...for sure.
Lisa, it was super fun! For the youth, they had face painting, temporary tattoos, matching shirts, loads of supporters, and Tony the Tiger leading the way! I started run/walking late last year via the Galloway method (which I highly recommend). I am NOT FAST by any stretch of the imagination but still manage to get across the finish line. Glad you are enjoying my blog, I'm furiously doing stuff ;). And I'm planning a thrifty visit to your blog soon.
