The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane

I listened to The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane by Katherine Howe, and it had several elements of a good story: plucky grad student woman protagonist (complete with a found dog), whip-smart roommate, summer love with an over-educated steeplejack, and a personal connection to the Salem witch trials.

More than once I found myself wishing that Alice Hoffman wrote this book so that it would have been good. 38/100
