I live in the Washington, D.C. area with My Heart's Desire, Babyface, and our cats, Charlie and Mr. Cat.
I moved here from Los Angeles, California in 2003 to attend graduate school. I have an MFA in Creative Writing. I wrote for feminist newsjournal off our backs from 2004-2006. My work has also appeared in The Washington Post, Long Story Short, The University of Maine Binnacle, Peeks and Valleys, Cross Cut, Open Spaces, On Tap, and Vitruvian Perspectives.
I met My Heart's Desire in 2004, we got engaged in 2006, and married on April Fool's Day 2007. Babyface was born in July 2011. We are head over heels in love with our new addition!
I blog about books, food, and life. I provided a summary of the first year in 2008 Greatest Hits. In 2009 I came up with 9 Commandments and were helpful for me to focus on. The year ended with 2009 Greatest Hits. The next year, I set 10 Goals for 2010 across a range of categories. My 2010 report detailed those achievements. I didn't set any goals for 2011, as I was pregnant and exhausted. I didn't blog much but did include 2011 Greatest Hits. I set quarterly goals for 2012.
